Determination of parameters of anti-heave structures of the subgrade taking into account the freezing system
Isakov A.L., Bukhov S.I.
Abstract

Background: in the Northern Hemisphere, during the construction and operation of railways, one of the pressing problems is frost heaving. One of the key factors influencing the amount of frost heaving is the occurrence of groundwater relative to the freezing front of the subgrade soils, which is not fully taken into account by existing approaches to determining the parameters of anti-heaving structures. This factor is usually characterized by freezing regimes, there are two of them - open and closed freezing systems. An open system is characterized by the proximity of groundwater to the freezing front, at which there is a constant influx of water (migration) to the zone of phase transitions, which makes the process of frost heaving unpredictable, and the determination of the frost heave ratio incorrect. A closed freezing system assumes the absence or deep location of groundwater (the difference in the level of the freezing front and groundwater exceeds the height of the capillary rise of water).

Aim: development of a method for calculating the parameters of anti-heaving. structures depending on the freezing regime of railway subgrades.

Materials and Methods: comparative analysis of methods for calculating the parameters of anti-heaving structures, experimental studies of the process of frost heaving in an open system of freezing of clay soils.

Results: based on experimental studies of freezing regimes, a differentiated approach to assessing the characteristics of frost heaving is proposed, taking into account the peculiarities of the frost heaving process.

Conclusion: the proposed method with a differentiated approach compares favorably with existing ones, allowing to reduce the consumption of building materials when designing anti-heaving measures.

Linear generator for power supply to on-board consumers of high-speed magnetically levitated carriages
Nikitin V.V., Zhao T.
Abstract

Background: Maglev transport is a promising mode of transport that can provide passenger and freight transportation at speeds of up to 400-500 km/h, and in the longer term – up to 1000 km/h. Active research in this area is being conducted in China, Japan, and the USA. Currently, in China and Japan, speeds of 450-500 km/h have been achieved for commercial transportation, and promising programs have been adopted for the construction of high-speed maglev tracks and the creation of rolling stock. At such speeds, one of the pressing problems is the problem of contactless energy transfer for on-board consumers located on the carriage, because it is very difficult to ensure reliable contact current collection at speeds of 450-500 km/h and above.

Aim: development of the design, calculation and analysis of the characteristics of a linear generator of electrical energy for contactless power transfer to the moving crew of high-speed magnetically levitated transport.

Materials and methods: to calculate the external magnetic field of the linear generator inductor and the EMF induced in the receiving coil of the crew, methods of electromagnetic field theory and electrical circuit theory were used; calculation algorithms are implemented in the Visual Basic for Applications software environment.

Results: a design was proposed and the calculation of the external magnetic field of an inductor with transposition of conductors was performed; to increase the EMF induced in the receiving coil of the crew, it is proposed to give the receiving coil a double 8-shape; the most rational inter-circuit distance of the linear generator inductor has been established; the nature of the change in the magnetic flux penetrating the receiving coil when the vehicle moves, and the magnitude of the emf induced in the receiving coil are determined.

Conclusion: the results can be used in the development of rolling stock for promising high-speed maglev transport systems.

Improvement of the calculation of ice crossings
Tryapitsyn Y.V., Tryapkin D.A.
Abstract

Background: In winter, ice crossings open in the north of the Far Eastern region. In most cases, they are organized due to the lack of capital bridges. Ice crossings are used to deliver goods and passengers to remote settlements where the road network is poorly developed and the navigation period is limited, because to get to settlements it is necessary to cross reservoirs. Ice crossings remain the only way to connect such settlements with cities with a large population. The most reliable way to increase the load-bearing capacity is to freeze the floating bridge of the articulated circuit into the ice cover. The advantage of such crossings is low sensitivity to climatic conditions and the nature of the water flow, small rolls and sediment. Currently, these crossings are used at cross-border crossings of the Far East, but there are no calculation methods.

Aim: Development of a methodology that would improve the calculation of ice crossings, taking into account the reinforcement in the form of metal pontoon structures consisting of articulated ferries on two supports.

Materials and Methods: The article provides a calculation model. Design scheme: a metal structure frozen in ice lying on water is a rigid stamp on a plate lying on the elastic base of the crossing. To confirm the accepted calculation model, an experiment of a real crossing in the form of static tests was carried out.

Results: The article presents the results of determining the crossing deflections according to the accepted calculation model and after the experiment. The carrying capacity of the reinforced ferry was also calculated by months.

Conclusion: This study will help to carry out calculations of combined crossings for a significant increase in load-bearing capacity.

Ensuring the economic security of the port shunting operator based on the growth of the investment potential of the activity
Zhuravleva N.A., Nikitin A.B., Chechenova L.M.
Abstract

Background: in the conditions of the new geo-economy, the activity of companies -shunting operators of the port, becomes the most important process of the emerging transport and logistics supply chains. Despite the sanctions restrictions on the export and import of a significant range of goods, restrictions on sea transportation by the Russian fleet, lack of cargo insurance and other negative factors, Russian seaports are operating with maximum load. The economic security of the country's transport and logistics system is significantly determined by the efficiency and competitiveness of the activities of port operators. Analytical data on processed goods flows for the period from 2022 to the present and the forecast of the volumes of goods that will be announced for transportation in the next few years indicate an increase in the need for capacities capable of handling cargo in seaports quickly and at an optimal price.

Aim: to ensure the economic security of the shunting operator delivering cargo to seaports, based on the growth of the investment potential of the activity.

Methods: the methodology of the study is based on the analysis of the activities of JSC "POOL Trans" – an organization that provides effective maneuvering work in the MP «Ust-Luga» and uninterrupted handling of cargo traffic at the junction «Railway – Port – Sea», using the main provisions of the rating methods. The information base of the study is based on reports and the regulatory framework of JSC "POOL-Trans".

Results: a system of indicators of investment potential assessment factors was determined with testing on the example of the activities of JSC "POOL Trans", a rating method was applied and tested in addition to the assessment of investment potential, key parameters of investment potential assessment and their compliance with the level of economic security were established.

Conclusion: the study confirms that the change in geo-economics and geopolitics has expanded the understanding of economic security, supplementing it with elements of ensuring transportation under the most severe sanctions restrictions, which is the basis for providing innovative solutions for cargo transshipment that determine the growth potential.

Innovative technologies in the development of high-speed ground transport
Kazanskaya L.F., Batalova N.V.
Abstract

Aim: is a comparative analysis of the technical and economic characteristics of various types of land rail transport.

Methods: comparative analysis, structuring of high-speed traffic processes, logical analysis of the cause-and-effect organization of the high-speed highways, made it possible to formalize the technical advantages of maglev transport technology in comparison with the construction of high-speed highways.

Results: A key trend has been identified to increase traffic speeds, requiring the convergence of various transport systems. The main criteria for innovative high-speed ground transport systems are classified. It is substantiated that increasing the level of technical characteristics of innovative technologies in the development of high-speed ground transport will allow maglev transport to become a key link in multimodal transport corridors. A comparison of the technical and economic characteristics of various types of land railway transport confirms that the introduction of MLTT into the transport complex will be able to significantly influence the matrix of the transport industry and accumulate both the passenger flow of air and rail traffic, as well as part of the containerized cargo, and become a key link in the multimodal transport corridors of the Russian Federation.

Conclusion: The conclusions are based on a representative sample of data on the innovative, technological and economic parameters of two high-speed rail construction technologies: wheel-rail and magnetic levitation.
